Farming near Streaky Bay in South Australia means living with uncertainty. Droughts, commodity price falls, seasons that don't cooperate — income that can go up or down with very little warning. For Carolyn Mudge — cattle farmer, Poll Hereford Stud operator and beef feedlot manager — that unpredictability was the problem she needed to solve.
